Shipping policy
Last Updated: 6 September 2026
This policy explains delivery for purchases from The Delivery Group Pty Ltd trading as Sparky Stock, ABN 84 700 390 932. It applies alongside our Terms of Service and Returns & Refunds Policy.
For help with shipping or an existing order, email sales@sparkystock.com.au or use our Contact Us page.
1. Where we deliver
We deliver to eligible addresses within Australia. The delivery options available for your order depend on the destination, products and carrier service. Please use checkout to see the available options or contact us before ordering if your address is not accepted.
Some bulky, heavy or courier-only products may require a physical street address and cannot be sent to a PO Box or Parcel Locker. Regional and remote destinations may have different service availability or transit times. Any special delivery restrictions will be explained before purchase.
For bulky goods, we will explain any special access, unloading or attendance requirements before you commit to the purchase. Delivery includes the services expressly described in the selected delivery option; electrical installation is not included unless separately and expressly agreed.
2. Shipping options and charges
Our current standard shipping options for eligible Australian orders are:
| Shipping option | Charge (AUD) |
|---|---|
| Australia Post Parcel Post | $10.95 |
| Australia Post Express Post | $14.95 |
The available services and total delivery charge are shown before you complete your purchase. Any free or discounted shipping promotion applies only as advertised. All amounts are in Australian dollars, and applicable taxes and unavoidable charges will be included in the displayed total as required by law.
If a product or destination requires a separate freight quote, we will identify that requirement and obtain your agreement to the charge before the purchase is completed. We will not add a freight surcharge to an accepted order without your agreement. If delivery arrangements need to change, we will explain the options and preserve your rights under the existing contract.
Changes to shipping rates apply to future orders. The delivery price agreed for an accepted order will not increase without your consent. Sending your order in more than one parcel will not, by itself, increase that agreed price.
3. Processing and delivery timeframes
We process orders as promptly as reasonably possible after payment has been successfully received or authorised, subject to any separately agreed payment arrangement. Processing includes checking and preparing your order before the carrier receives it.
For our processing estimates, business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Queensland public holidays. Carrier transit times may also be affected by public holidays at the origin or destination.
Any dispatch or delivery estimate we provide will have a reasonable basis. We will explain known stock or supplier lead times that affect the order before purchase and notify you of significant delays that arise afterwards.
Where we state separate processing and transit estimates, both contribute to the expected arrival time. Where we state an overall delivery estimate, that estimate already includes processing. Contact us before ordering if you need an estimate or require the goods for a particular date.
Dates are estimates unless we expressly agree to a specific delivery date. This does not remove our obligation to supply within an agreed timeframe or, where none is agreed, within a reasonable time.
4. Australia Post Express Post
Selecting Express Post selects the postal service used after dispatch; it does not automatically mean same-day dispatch or next-business-day arrival at every address.
Australia Post's next-business-day service depends on the origin, destination, lodgement time and applicable network and service conditions. Other routes can take longer. You can check Australia Post's delivery speeds and coverage, or contact us about your order.
We will use the service you purchase. If that service cannot be provided, we will contact you to agree an alternative and any price adjustment or refund. Your rights relating to a service or delivery commitment we have promised remain unaffected.
5. Dispatch, tracking and split deliveries
Where tracking is available, we or the carrier will send the details when the shipment is arranged or dispatched. A label-created status can appear before the carrier has received or scanned the parcel. Please contact us if tracking does not progress as expected.
Items may be dispatched separately or from different supply locations. We will explain split shipments where relevant and provide available tracking details. If only part of your order arrives, check the shipment information and contact us if anything is unclear.
Where a product is to be supplied directly by a supplier, we will give clear information about availability, the dispatch origin and the expected delivery timing before purchase. Sparky Stock remains your point of contact for the order.
6. Delivery details and address changes
Please provide a complete and accurate recipient name, address, postcode, contact details and any relevant delivery instructions. Contact us promptly if a correction is needed. We will check whether it can be made before dispatch or whether the carrier can redirect the parcel.
A redirection may not be possible after dispatch. We will explain any available option and reasonable actual additional charge before asking you to agree to it. We will not charge you to correct an error made by Sparky Stock or a carrier we engage.
7. Signatures, missed delivery and unclaimed parcels
Some deliveries require someone to be present or to sign for the goods. If delivery cannot be completed, the carrier may arrange another attempt or direct the parcel to a collection point. Please follow any collection instructions or contact us for assistance.
If goods are returned because of incorrect details you supplied, an unjustified refusal or a failure to collect within the notified collection period, we will contact you about redelivery or any applicable cancellation or return. Reasonable actual additional delivery costs may be payable where lawful and where the failed delivery resulted from circumstances within your control. We will explain these costs before arranging redelivery.
These charges do not apply to a failure by us or our delivery provider, or merely because you lawfully reject faulty or incorrectly supplied goods. Any applicable refund will be handled under our Terms of Service and Returns & Refunds Policy; an unclaimed parcel does not automatically mean you forfeit the whole payment.
8. Authority to leave, ownership and delivery risk
If you expressly authorise an unattended delivery, the carrier may leave the parcel at the agreed address in accordance with your instructions and with appropriate care. Please choose a secure location. If the instructions cannot safely be followed, a different delivery or collection arrangement may be needed.
For deliveries we arrange, responsibility for accidental loss or damage passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or your authorised recipient, or properly left under your express authority to leave. Risk does not transfer merely because we have handed the parcel to a carrier.
An authority to leave does not excuse delivery to the wrong address, failure to follow agreed instructions or loss caused by a failure to exercise appropriate care. A signature or delivery scan does not remove rights relating to damage, a fault or a disputed delivery.
Ownership passes when full payment for the goods has been received, subject to applicable law. Ownership and delivery do not remove responsibilities that remain with us under the contract or the law.
9. Delayed, lost or missing deliveries
If your order is overdue, tracking stops progressing, or a parcel is marked delivered but you cannot locate it, contact us. We will investigate, seek relevant information from you and the carrier, and keep you informed. You do not have to resolve the issue with our courier yourself.
Weather, network disruptions or unexpected supplier problems can affect delivery. We will explain known delays and work to provide a solution. These events do not permit us to retain your payment indefinitely without supplying the goods or providing an appropriate remedy.
Where goods are lost in transit or we cannot complete delivery within the agreed or a reasonable timeframe, we will arrange an appropriate solution, including a replacement or refund where required by law. We will not require you to accept a substitute product or store credit.
We may need a reasonable opportunity to investigate a disputed delivery, but we will not make a remedy depend solely on the carrier formally declaring the parcel lost or completing its own compensation process. Investigations must not delay your legal remedy unreasonably.
10. Damaged, incorrect or incomplete orders
Please check your order as soon as reasonably possible and contact us if goods are damaged, incorrect or missing. Provide your order number if available and describe the problem. Photographs of the goods and packaging are helpful where available.
Please retain relevant packaging while we assess the issue where practicable. Original packaging, photographs or notification within a fixed 24-hour or 48-hour period are not additional conditions that remove your statutory rights. Signing for a parcel does not, by itself, confirm that its contents are undamaged or correct.
We will assess the problem and provide the remedy required by the ACL or other applicable law. You will not have to pay reasonable return or replacement delivery costs needed to correct our error or damage for which we are responsible. We will arrange collection or cover reasonable transport costs for faulty goods that are large, heavy or difficult to remove, as required by law.
If an electrical product appears unsafe, stop using it and contact us. Electrical disconnection, removal or repair that requires a licence must be carried out by an appropriately licensed person. Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains the treatment of recoverable removal or reinstallation costs.
11. When we cannot supply an order
If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will contact you promptly to arrange a solution. Any cancellation must be agreed with you or permitted by law; this policy does not give us an unrestricted right to cancel an accepted purchase.
If an order is declined or cancelled because we cannot supply it, we will promptly refund the amounts paid for the cancelled goods and associated delivery or other charges for supply that will not occur. If the whole order is cancelled before supply, this includes the whole delivery charge.
For a partially cancelled order, we will explain the calculation and refund delivery charges attributable to the cancelled supply or no longer incurred. We will not add a new shipping charge to the remaining items without your agreement.
Refunds use the original payment method unless you agree otherwise. A refund does not remove any separate right to compensation or another remedy.
12. Returns and return shipping
Our Returns & Refunds Policy sets out the full return conditions and process.
For an eligible change-of-mind return, contact us within 30 days of receiving the product, then return it promptly following our instructions. You pay return postage. Original delivery charges are not refundable for change-of-mind returns unless we agree otherwise. The product condition requirements and any exclusions clearly disclosed before purchase apply.
Different cost rules apply to faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise non-compliant goods. We will reimburse reasonable return costs for a confirmed consumer guarantee failure and refund original delivery charges where required by law. The 30-day change-of-mind period does not limit statutory claims.
Contact us for the correct return address and any safe transport instructions before sending goods. This administrative step does not add a condition that removes your legal rights.
13. Your rights and policy changes
Nothing in this policy excludes or reduces a guarantee, right, remedy or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Consumer protections can also apply to eligible business and trade purchases.
Our Terms of Service govern order acceptance, agreed prices and delivery charges. Our Returns & Refunds Policy governs the additional change-of-mind offer. Non-excludable legal rights always prevail over any policy wording.
We may update this policy and will show the revised date. Changes do not retrospectively alter an existing order or remove rights that have already arisen.
